Friday, July 7, 5:30pm: Movable Feast in North Palm Beach at Barcello, 11603 US 1, North Palm Beach. Barcello is once again having its "Summer Taste" special: 50% off entrees from 5:00 to 6:00. That's regular main course items only, no specials or splitting, and orders must be placed before 6:00. Barcello's menus are known for New American fusions of classic coastal cuisine with global dishes, ingredients, and techniques. Specialties include Chicken Paillard, Grouper with sweet potato crust, and Roast Duck. In addition to a wide selection of wines, they also have a full bar. Please RSVP on Meetup or to Amy Shaughnessy at aesdth@yahoo.com or 561-352-9245.

Thursday, July 13, 6:00pm: Virtual Happy Hour to Discuss Books. At our June meeting we talked about books we'd propose for future meetings (July and on). We were each armed with titles of 2-3 books we've read and think others might want to read, or books we want to read and talk about with others. Some of the suggested books were light or humorous; some were more serious "think pieces." We agreed on two to read and discuss at this July meeting - "No Country for Old Men" by Cormac McCarthy (suggested by Ed Wujciak) and "Wish You Were Here" by Jodi Picoult (suggested by Elissa Rudolph). And I'm keeping the list of five others that we expect to read for subsequent Happy Hour discussions. Meeting ID: 858 0295 0276, Passcode: happy (Zoom link). RSVP on Meetup or to Amy Shaughnessy at aesdth@yahoo.com or at 561-352-9245.

Sunday, July 16, 5:00pm: Third Sunday Dinner in Delray Beach at Carraba's, 335 E. Linton Blvd., Delray Beach. Carrabba's is a chain restaurant and grill serving a diverse menu of classic Italian fare, comfort food like pizza and pastas made by hand. Now featured are Summer Specials such as Crab and Shrimp Florentine with linguine and Filet Caprese with tomatoes, basil and asparagus. By the way, this Third Sunday Dinner is a fill-in for Elissa's usual Second Sunday Dinner while she takes a summer break. Please RSVP on Meetup or to Amy Shaughnessy at aesdth@yahoo.com or 561-352-9245.

Sunday, July 16, 5:00pm: Waterfront Dining at Groover-Gay Bistro! Let's meet in Palm City for dinner at the private home of one of our members. Please RSVP on Meetup and text Laura Bulawski at 772 212 6268 for the address. If you can't text, email me at bulaws7@aol.com Looking forward to another lively gathering!

Thursday, July 27, 5:15 pm: Happy Hour in Lantana at Lantern Local Tavern, 618 W. Lantana Rd., Lantana. This is a fairly new restaurant where The Hive and Pearl's once were on Lantana Road a bit west of Federal Highway. It's designed like a '50s-era diner in the style of old-school Florida, with a New England-style tavern at the back where the bar is and dinner is served if you want to stay on. The Happy Hour is actually 3:30-7:00, with a number of drink and food specials. Dinner options range from grilled salmon and shrimp to bucatini and meatballs. Please RSVP on Meetup or to Amy Shaughnessy at aesdth@yahoo.com or 561-352-9245.
