Sunday, June 11, 5:30pm: Second Sunday Dinner at Angelo Elia Pizza and Tapas Bar, 16950 Jog Rd., Delray Beach, 561-381-0037 (https://www.angeloeliapizza.com/locations/delray-beach). Of course, lots of pizza choices, then tapas -- Zucchini Flowers Tempura, Pasta Fagioli, Brussel Sprouts, Grilled Octopus -- and entrees such as Herb Roasted Salmon, Gnocchi Alla Vodka, Veal Romana. I know it's Italian again; you can visit the Morikami Museum across the street to walk off your pasta calories. RSVP on Meetup or elissa12@bellsouth.net or 561-703-9898. |

Thursday, June 15, 6:00pm: Virtual Happy Hour to Discuss Books. We're going to have a change of pace in June. We'll talk about books we've come across lately to propose for future meetings (July and on). Ideally, each of us will have 2-4 titles of books we've read and want others to read, or books we want to read and talk about with others, or maybe books we don't like but hope others can persuade us are worthwhile. NOTE: Our selection for May was "Born in Blackness: Africa, Africans, and the Making of the Modern World," which none of us had finished reading. This broad, dense survey by Howard W. French follows the rising importance of African countries as European countries were exploring and expanding their influence. The book deserves more time to absorb its various facets, weaving in the discoveries and rivalries that built our world as trade expanded and enslavement became a measure of wealth. We'll revisit it over the next couple of months. Meeting ID: 858 0295 0276, Passcode: happy (Zoom link). RSVP on Meetup or to Amy Shaughnessy at aesdth@yahoo.com or at 561-352-9245. |

Saturday, June 17, 4:30pm: Let's meet at the historic Catfish House Hobe Sound, south North Palm Beach Area at 11500 SE Federal Hwy, Hobe Sound. This eatery has been around for a long long time in Florida years. But we haven't gone there since it refuses to open on Sunday. Finally, we've relented and posted a Saturday early dinner. Looking forward to seeing all of you! Please RSVP on Meetup by June 16. If bringing someone or any other issue, text me at 772 212 6268. |

Wednesday, June 21, 5:30pm: Lunch Bunch in West Palm Beach at Stresa Italian Restaurant, 2062 Palm Beach Lakes Blvd., West Palm Beach. A traditional Italian restaurant serving traditional Italian cuisine (plus subs, etc.) for 20 years, focusing on using high-quality ingredients. I haven't been there for dinner, but prices on the lunch menu are modest and the Cappellini Bella Napoli is delicious. Please RSVP on Meetup or to Amy Shaughnessy at 561-352-9245 or aesdth@yahoo.com. |

Tuesday, June 27, 5:00 pm: Happy Hour in West Palm Beach at Table 26, 1700 S. Dixie Hwy, West Palm Beach. "Splash into Summer" 4:00-6:00, throughout the restaurant. Complimentary hand-crafted cocktails (if you check in on social media - huh?), tapas and small bites. Or stay for dinner - maybe a bit pricey but worth the splurge. Some parking on the street; also valet. Please RSVP on Meetup or to Amy at aesdth@yahoo.com or 561-352-9245. |
