Friday, Feb. 2 at 7pm: First Friday Dinner at Payathai Asian Bistro, 5879 South Congress Ave., Atlantis (Lantana, NW corner of Lantana Rd. and Congress Ave.). Obviously, this is a Thai restaurant. If you choose, the food can be spicy. Service is good and prices are reasonable. Tuesday, Feb. 6 at noon: Lunch Bunch at Jo Bistro, 319 Belvedere Rd, West Palm Beach. Located between Dixie and Olive in a smallish strip mall on Belvedere, it's a rather sophisticated bistro with an interesting variety of soups and salads, wraps, panini, and the now-popular "bowls". Thursday, Feb. 15 at 6pm: Movable Feast at Atlantis Grill & Bar, 5805 S Congress Ave, Lake Worth. This restaurant and its bar on Congress at Lantana Road has been a favorite of a number of Mensans. They have a variety of dishes to please all tastes - steaks, ribs, shrimp, mahi mahi - and great desserts if you save room. Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 5:30pm: Happy Hour at Rhum Shak, 802 Lake Avenue, Lake Worth. Long-time standard in Lake Worth's bar/restaurant scene, particularly noted for their gorgonzola tater-tots. Featured drinks are pirate-themed, but they serve soups and salads, subs, and stuffed meatloaf, among other menu choices, if you want to have dinner as well.
