Friday, Jan. 5 at 7pm: First Friday Dinner at Payathai Asian Bistro, 5879 South Congress Ave., Atlantis (Lantana, NW corner of Lantana Rd. and Congress Ave.). Obviously, this is a Thai restaurant. If you choose, the food can be spicy. Service is good and prices are reasonable. The place has limited space, so it's important that you RSVP to Barry at 561-964-4360, barrykaras7314@comcast.net, or through the Meetup.

Saturday, Jan. 7 at 3-6pm: Private showing of WALK WITH ME featuring Thich Nhat Hanh at Regal Cinemas Treasure Coast Mall Stadium 16, 3290 NW Federal Hwy., Jensen Beach. Contact Laura B at bulaws7@aol.com for instructions. This unique documentary came out in the fall of 2017 but I wanted to allow plenty of time for people to get tickets, so scheduled it to show in the theater Jan 8. If you want tickets, you can reserve them at the following link: https://gathr.us/screening/21627 Your card won't be charged unless the film shows. For those who want to understand Buddhism better, for those who do understand and want to learn more, for those who want to be inspired - not horror, not fantasy, not sci-fi, not adventure. This is a real look into life in a Buddhist monastery. (See Meetup.)

Tuesday, Jan. 9 at noon: Lunch Bunch at The Grilled Cheese Gallery, 422 Northwood Road, West Palm Beach. What's better than a homemade grilled cheese sandwich? Try one here, where they strive to take it to a whole new level, stuffing it with things like pulled pork, brie, and mac and cheese - yes, grilled cheese with mac and cheese. Featured are the Mac Daddy for $8.50 and the Artist for $10. RSVP Amy Shaughnessy (rpwassn@yahoo.com or 561-964-3283) (See Meetup.)

Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 6pm: Movable Feast at The Whistle Stop Tavern, 224 N 3rd Street, Lantana. It's close to the train tracks just off Lantana Road, fairly near me, and now it's time to stop in. A range of entrees includes pork schnitzel, fresh catch of the day and New York strip steak, as well lighter fare like the house burger and the peel-and-eat shrimp. Arrive early for Happy Hour (4 to 6 p.m.) or stay for Tuesday night trivia. RSVP Amy Shaughnessy (rpwassn@yahoo.com or 561-964-3283) (See Meetup.)
