Friday, Mar. 3 at 7pm: First Friday Dinner at Payathai Asian Bistro, 5879 South Congress Ave., Atlantis (Lantana, NW corner of Lantana Rd. and Congress Ave.). Obviously, this is a Thai restaurant. If you choose, the food can be spicy. Service is good and prices are reasonable. The place has limited space, so it's important that you RSVP to Barry at 561-964-4360, barrykaras7314@comcast.net, or through the Meetup. |

Sunday, Mar. 5 at 5:30pm: Meet for the Palm Beach Area Mensa First Sunday dinner at Palm Springs Pizza & Restaurant, 3087 Forest Hill Boulevard, West Palm Beach. The First Sunday Dinner is moving north to Palm Springs. This pizzeria & restaurant (561-964-3500) has a back room where it may be quieter for our cross table conversations. Meet at 5:30 p.m. RSVP to Elissa (elissa12@ bellsouth.net or MeetUp) by noon on March 4 so we can give the restaurant a heads up. Here's website that shows the menu:http://places.singleplatform.com/palm-springs-pizza/menu (See Meetup.) |

Tuesday, Mar. 14 at 5:45pm: Movable Feast at Eddie and Anthony's, Fairly typical neighborhood Italian restaurant, but it seems to be well appreciated by the local audience - slightly crowded and friendly. Lunch specials including salads and $7.99 large cheese pizzas. In a shopping plaza at the southwest corner of Congress and Hypoluxo (near a former Publix that is now a Presidente supermarket). (See Meetup.) |

Wednesday, Mar. 22 at noon: Lunch Bunch at Table 26., 1700 S Dixie Hwy, West Palm Beach . Lunch service was recently begun at this stylish restaurant just south of downtown West Palm. It's a bit pricier than my usual picks, but there's a fine selection in the $12-15 range, including a couple of salads at $13 or so, a cranberry tuna salad sandwich ($12), and a well-stuffed Reuben for $15. The website also shows a very photogenic avocado toast "starter" at $12 - looks big enough to me for a whole lunch. Street parking may serve well for daytime; not sure whether they have valet parking, as at night. (See Meetup.) |

Sunday, Mar. 26 at 11:30 am: Brunch at Burt & Max's, 9089 West Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach. I'm not usually a big fan of Sunday brunch, but the prices for some new specials here impressed me. In addition to a wider brunch menu, they're introducing new $8.95 brunch plates: Pastrami hash, Biscuits & gravy, and the All-American. Located in the Delray Marketplace, with ample parking. I don't know what this place is like for brunch - maybe rather crowded - so RSVPs are essential: Amy Shaughnessy (aesdth@yahoo.com or 561-964-3283) (See Meetup.) |
