Tuesday, June 2 at noon: Lunch Bunch--Boynton Beach Diner, 1060 Gateway Blvd., Boynton Beach. Quality comfort food with homemade, fresh ingredients, serving breakfast and lunch - and breakfast is served all day.  Lunches include an 8-oz. Angus Burger, Gyro Pita, and Grilled Reuben + lighter fare such as frittatas and  soup of the day (made from scratch, of course).   In the Quantum Town Center, with plenty of parking.

Friday, June 5 at 7pm First Friday Dinner at Orchids of Siam Thai-Sushi Bar 3027 Forest Hill Boulevard West Palm Beach. In the Winn-Dixie Shopping Center at the NW corner of Forest Hill & Congress. http://www.orchidsofsiamfl.com/ This restaurant offers excellent Thai/Japanese food. Thai food can be spicy. Sunday, June 7 at 5:30pm First Sunday Dinner–"The Amalfi Coast's breathtaking landscape and signature Italian villas etched into the mountainside overlooking the vast, azure waters of the Gulf of Salerno serve as the inspiration behind the Tanzy dining experience." The Tanzy Restaurant, at Mizner Park in Boca Raton (301 Plaza Reale; 561-922-6699; http://www.tanzyrestaurant.com/boca/ ) promises an artisanal Italian dining experience. More from the website, "The nostalgic villas that dot the landscape of the Amalfi Coast grew throughout the generations with ever-expanding dining environments - each reflecting a different time and personality. These eclectic dining environments create the backdrop of Tanzy - a place for friends and family to socialize and share stories and laughter while experiencing our diverse range of artisanal Italian flavors." Lots of "Mozza" appetizers and this caught my eye: Hot Italian Coppa, oven roasted tomatoes, braised escarole, marinated artichokes with a rosemary mustard and romesco sauce. Tuesday, June 9 at 6pm: Magnificent Mensa Scribes. IHOP on north side of Belvedere just west of I-95. The Magnificent Mensa Scribes meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays each month at 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Ihop, 1503 Belvedere Road, West Palm Beach. Prudy Taylor Board trenchantly discusses some practical phase of the writing business plus works-in-progress -- your works-in-progress will be read aloud and critiqued. Tuesday, June 16 at 6:15pm: Movable Feast at 3rd and 3rd, 301 NE 3rd Ave., Delray Beach. A small-plates eatery off the beaten track - a bit north of Atlantic Avenue. They have salads and oversized tapas, skewers, and burgers - and an acclaimed bar. Parking is much easier here, off the busy Atlantic Avenue.

Saturday, June 20, 5pm: Annual Summer Solstice party takes place in Delray Beach at Elissa Rudolph's condo Clubhouse. Picnic atmosphere and picnic type food outside around the pool unless it rains. $5 contribution per person. New gas barbecue grills should be in place. If rain also attends, there will be no grilling; we will picnic inside on already prepared food. Keep the possibility of rain in mind because many Summer Solstice parties have been rained out since 2003, but we partied on nevertheless. RSVP by June 19. Sunday, June 21 at 5pm: Fathers’ Day Dinner at Fernando's Dockside Grille, 2214 SE Veterans Memorial Pkwy, Port Saint Lucie, FL. ( http://fernandosdocksidegrille.com/ ) Treat your favorite father figure to a spectacular dinner with the Merry Mensans. Last month we tried Martin County's no. 1 restaurant. This month it's St Lucie County's turn. Let's  see if Fernando's deserves the title given it by Charleston Food Bloggers.
