Palm Beach County Mensa Meetup Group
Mensa events are open to all Mensans, their spouses, children and guests. Who may or may not attend a private home is at the host's discretion. Hosts: Please mention any special concerns about your location, such as smoking restrictions, limited access for the handicapped, or presence of pets. Guests: If you have any special needs or restrictions, please check with your host before attending an event.

Friday, September 5 at 7pm First Friday at Orchids of Siam Thai-Sushi Bar 3027 Forest Hill Boulevard West Palm Beach. In the Winn-Dixie Shopping Center at the NW corner of Forest Hill & Congress. http://www.orchidsofsiamfl.com/ This restaurant offers excellent Thai/Japanese food. Thai food can be spicy. Sunday, September 7 at 5:30pm Palm Beach Area Mensa Monthly Dinner. Located right in the heart of Delray Beach not too far from an actual beach, you will find Mussel Beach, 501 E. Atlantic Ave. (561-921-6464). Mussel Beach is a seafood-centric eatery that serves mussels in at least 14 different sauces, also crab cakes, blackened grouper, pretzel-encrusted salmon, and tuna taco appetizers. Landlubber fare available for non-seafood-centric diners. Desserts for all: Fried-to-order doughnuts, white chocolate bread pudding, and an oatmeal pie concoction known as Crack Pie. I'm curious enough to order Crack Pie -- will someone else share it with me? RSVP by noon September 5 to elissa12@bellsouth.net OR through the Palm Beach Mensa's MeetUp site. Thai Bistro's rating by Trip Advisor is 4 1/2 stars out of 5.
