Tuesday, May 10, Noon: Downtown Lunch Bunch at Duffy's, 225 Clematis, West Palm Beach; 249-1682. Duffy's has restaurants all over, but this one is new in downtown. It's where Forte used to be -- what a change! They're famous for their huge burgers and the lunchtime double play: soup and a half-sandwich for $6.99. Parking on the street or in the nearby municipal garages. |

Tuesday, May 10, 6:30 pm: Magnificent Mensa Scribes. The Magnificent Mensa Scribes meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays each month at 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. at the Lock, Stock and Barrel Restaurant, 3208 Forest Hill Blvd (Palm Springs)...south side of Forest Hill Blvd. Prudy Taylor Board trenchantly discusses some practical phase of the writing business plus works-in-progress -- your works-in-progress will be read aloud and critiqued. Take I-95 Exit 66 (Forest Hill Blvd.) west 1.8 miles, crossing Congress Ave. From the west, take State Road 882 (Forest Hill Blvd) east across Military Trail, through the traffic lights at Kirk Road and Tucker Road. LSB is on the right, before reaching Congress Ave. To schedule your own literary reading at an MMS email Mensan Tim Hunter (timhunter@juno.com) |

Sunday, May 15, 5:00 pm: North County Dinner -- Hokkaido Steakhouse, 1960 NW Courtyard Circle, Port St Lucie, 34986, 772-878-4188. We've been wanting to try this new (to the area) Japanese restaurant since it opened. We hear it's giving Benihana some serious competition. It's located in the new boomtown of St Lucie West. RSVP to MeetUp. |

Wednesday, May 18, 7:00 pm: Moveable Feast at Luna Lounge, 207 Clematis, WPB; 629-5252. Turkish and other Mediterranean specialties in an exotic setting smack in the middle of downtown. I'm trying a non-Friday because I think this place would be swamped on a Friday! Come early for Happy Hour. Parking on the street or in the municipal garages. |

Saturday, May 21, 7:00 pm: South County Dinner -- Punjab Indian Restaurant, 1801 N. Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL 33432, 561-392-8000. Ready for a little heat? Perhaps something a little exotic? Then join us for the South County dinner! This month, we'll meet up at Punjab Indian Restaurant in Boca. If spicy's not your thing, that's OK - they have a full menu of Indian dishes. RSVP by May 19 to Rich Haney at MeetUp. |
