Thursday, Apr. 18, 6pm: Virtual Happy Hour to Discuss Books. Lively discussions are expected on books proposed for this month --- A series of books by C.J. Box about a Wyoming game warden, family man Joe Pickett, who finds adventures in many shapes and sizes. Another is Of Time and Turtles by Sy Montgomery, about these slow-moving reptiles who maintain the appearance of young organs even as they approach the century mark in age; they can recover from just about any injury. And Velocity, by Dean Koontz, is a good story that challenges you to figure out "who did it". Kelton and Elissa found a previous selection, Keeper of Enchanted Rooms, magical and laughing-out-loud funny in places and recommended A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. Meeting ID: 858 0295 0276, Passcode: happy (Zoom link). RSVP on Meetup or to Amy Shaughnessy at aesdth@yahoo.com or at 561-352-9245. |
