Monday, Oct. 1 at 6pm: Moveable Feast at Brick & Barrel Pub, 748 Park Avenue, Lake Park. The September special $25 dinner had to be canceled, but we can give it another try for their reasonable regular prices. This "gastropub" is in an interesting area of Lake Park, a music-and-art pocket a half-mile or so south of Northlake Blvd. Menu choices are novel - duck confit poutine is an appetizer choice, and poached pear anglaise is one of the desserts! RSVP on MeetUp or to Amy Shaughnessy at 561-964-3283 or rpwassn@yahoo.com. |

Saturday, Oct. 20 at 10am: King Mango Strut Bagel Party and Disorganization Meeting: Fun-loving Mensans of ALL ages, sizes, and shapes are invited to the Hollywood home of Ed and Alice Wujciak for the kickoff event of the 2018 King Mango Strut satire season. Even if you've never "strutted," our experienced humor coaches will have you "in shape" in no time. Plus, there will be bagels, coffee, and other comestibles to soothe those tired muscles. Ed and Alice's home is at 5206 Roosevelt St in Hollywood 33021 and the phone is 954-963-7661. To RSVP (unnecessary but sorta nice) or to get further information about this "only in South Florida" event, call Ed at the number above or via email at ewujciak@gmail.com. Also please check out the longer and slightly more interesting article on the King Mango Strut elsewhere in this issue. |

Sunday, Oct. 21 at noon: Brunch at the Famous Seminole Country Inn, 15885 SW Warfield Blvd, Indiantown. What a spread! Seminole Inn Brunch on Sundays has just about any breakfast food you can think of. Build your own omelette and watch it being made. There's also lunch meat, vegetables, too much to list. Please join us! Hosted by Laura Bulawski. See Meetup. |

Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 5:30pm: Happy Hour at Jereve at EmKo, 2119 S. Dixie Hwy, West Palm Beach. An extra event to fill out the calendar. EmKo is an off-beat place, with very eclectic and artsy decor. The bar/lounge of the restaurant is sleek and sophisticated - a perfect setting for their "social hour" (5:30-7:30). It's a big, colorful building, south of downtown WPB, so street parking is usually available. RSVP on MeetUp or to Amy Shaughnessy at 561-964-3283 or rpwassn@yahoo.com. |
