Wednesday, July 5 at noon: Palm Beach Lunch at Bice Ristorante, 313 1/2 Worth Ave, Palm Beach. Summer bargain season in Palm Beach - well, compared with usual PB prices. This is one of the $20.18 two-course lunches, in a tres chic restaurant in a Worth Avenue "via" between Worth and Peruvian. Tables inside and out, depending on whether it's raining. Parking on the street can be found sometimes, but read the instructions for metered parking (valet may not be available at lunch). RSVP to Amy Shaughnessy at 561-964-3283 or rpwassn@yahoo.com. (See Meetup.) |

Tuesday, July 12 at 5:45pm: Happy Hour at Prosecco Cafe in PGA Commons, 4580 PGA Blvd, Palm Beach Gardens. Happy hour is 3:00 to 6:30, so arrive early to get a jump on others, but get a drink order in by 6:30. There are $5 small plates, $5 premium drinks and select wines, and $5 martinis. If you have doubts about how to get there, check out a map or two - it can be confusing. RSVP to Amy Shaughnessy at 561-964-3283 or rpwassn@yahoo.com. (See Meetup.) |

Friday, July 13 at 7pm: First Friday Dinner (actually 2nd Friday since the restaurant is closed the first week of July, plus some are at the AG) at Payathai Asian Bistro, 5879 South Congress Ave., Atlantis (Lantana, NW corner of Lantana Rd. and Congress Ave.). Obviously, this is a Thai restaurant. If you choose, the food can be spicy. Service is good and prices are reasonable. The place has limited space, so it's important that you RSVP to Barry at 561-964-4360, barrykaras7314@comcast.net, or through the Meetup. |

Monday, July 15 at 6pm: 3 Course Early Bird at Pineapple Jacks Bistro, 1897 NE Jensen Beach Blvd, Jensen Beach. We are meeting here again. Food was excellent last time and now there's a summer special early bird 4-6 PM, and a full service bar as well. Though it's North County, we hope to see South County dwellers too, as in May. Restaurant phone is 772 444 3550. RSVP to Laura B at bulaws7@aol.com by July 14; or use Meetup, but the site doesn't show guests (unless it gets fixed before then) and I need to know how many you are bringing. |

Tuesday, July 18 at 6:15pm: Moveable Feast at Ouzo Bay, 201 Plaza Real, Boca Raton. A very good summer prix-fixe deal - three-course menu for $29 from 4-6:30. Get there to order before 6:30! Naturally they have classic mezes; seafood, lamb, etc.; and traditional desserts with a twist. It's in Mizner Park; allow time to find the restaurant and a place to park; there are garages. RSVP to Amy Shaughnessy at 561-964-3283 or rpwassn@yahoo.com. (See Meetup.) |

Saturday, July 21 at 11am: Saturday Brunch at Village Tavern, 1880 N. Congress Ave., Boynton Beach. I haven't been here yet, but their "On the house" note caught my eye - "Your first bloody Mary, mimosa, or glass of champagne is on us with any food purchase." All the traditional brunch offerings - waffles, omelets, benedicts - as well as their own specialties, such as avocado toast, breakfast burrito, and shrimp and grits. One ad specifies Suite 170 - that may help to find them in the plaza! RSVP to Amy Shaughnessy at 561-964-3283 or rpwassn@yahoo.com. (See Meetup.) |

Wednesday, July 24 at noon: Palm Beach Lunch at Pizza Al Fresco, 14 Via Mizner, Palm Beach. Here's another of the $20.18 two-course lunches in Palm Beach, also in a via between Worth and Peruvian. They serve much more than pizza, though I don't know yet what's on their prix-fixe menu; outdoor tables available, weather permitting. As noted for Bice, parking on the street can be found sometimes, but be sure to read the instructions if you use metered parking. Note that the time is for 12:30, not the usual 12:00. RSVP to Amy Shaughnessy at 561-964-3283 or rpwassn@yahoo.com. (See Meetup.) |

Tuesday, July 26 at 5:45pm: Palm Beach Happy Hour at Echo, 230A Sunrise Ave, Palm Beach. The happy hour is 5:00 to 6:30, on the terrace or in the Dragonfly Lounge. The special deal is half-price sushi and drinks at this off-site branch of The Breakers. It's about mid-block on Sunrise Avenue, the second street north of Royal Poinciana Way, which is at the PB end of the newly rebuilt Flagler Bridge. Street parking may be available, and there's valet parking.. RSVP to Amy Shaughnessy at 561-964-3283 or rpwassn@yahoo.com. (See Meetup.) |

Wednesday, August 1 at 6pm: Wine Tasting at III Forks Steakhouse, 4645 PGA Boulevard, Palm Beach Gardens. This fairly pricey steakhouse in Midtown at the Gardens is hosting Summer Wine Tastings, of which this will be the second. The sommelier presents six wines from popular wine regions and savory hors d'oeuvres from the bar-bites menu. The cost is $25 per person. I don't know how many they can accommodate for these events, but I'll need a firm number to make the reservation, presumably a week or more in advance, so don't delay if you want to attend - maybe we'll even have to pay in advance. RSVPs required on MeetUp or to Amy Shaughnessy at 561-964-3283 or rpwassn@yahoo.com |
