We stopped going there because our group was too large. I was granted a special exception. |

Sunday, October 4 at 5:30pm: First Sunday Dinner–Latitudes (561-278-2008; http://latitudesdelray.com/ ), 2809 S. Ocean Blvd., Highland Beach, inside the Delray Sands Resort. Floor to ceiling windows show off panoramic views of the ocean in an upscale yet casual dining atmosphere. A reviewer suggested the Trio of Crème Brulee--espresso, Swiss chocolate, and Tahitian vanilla. Yum! RSVP by noon October 3 to elissa12@bellsouth.net OR through the Palm Beach Mensa's Meetup site. Friday, October 9 at 6:30pm: Movable Feast–Rotelli, 701 Lake Ave., Lake Worth. The first installment in a "month of Lake Worth" dining. Rotelli is a casual Italian restaurant with all the familiar standard dishes, from simple to somewhat more sophisticated. The location right on Lake Avenue is appealing, smack in the middle of the busy night scene; parking on side streets and municipal lots. (See Meetup) |

Tuesday, October 13 at 6pm: Magnificent Mensa Scribes at Ihop, 1503 Belvedere Rd., W Palm Beach. Prudy Taylor Board trenchantly discusses some practical phase of the writing business plus works-in-progress – your works-in-progress will be read aloud and critiqued. Sunday, October 18 at 5pm: North County Dinner–Let's Meet at Fratelli's in Port St Lucie, 291 Se Port St Lucie Blvd, Port Saint Lucie. There is one in Delray, now one in PSL since February. The menu is diverse. The reviews are good, at least at the time of this writing. If that changes, we'll change venues. The restaurant will have been open 8 months by then which is much longer in PSL years so we'll keep an eye on the most recent feedback. The place is run by Leo and Guy Fratelli who were raised and trained in their father's Long Island restaurants. Per Guy, "I learned from my dad to keep the price down and the food great and you will do well." See Meetup. |

Monday, October 19 at noon: Lunch Bunch at Callaro's, 717 Lake Ave., Lake Worth. Second installment in the spotlight on Lake Worth - lunch deals from $10 to $12 at a popular steakhouse that's much pricier in the evenings. Callaro's used to be next to the theater in Manalapan and is now just up the block from the Lake Worth Playhouse; parking is usually pretty easy at midday. (See Meetup) |

Wednesday, October 28 at 5:30pm: Happy Hour at Suri, 707 Lake Ave., Lake Worth.
