Palm Beach County Mensa Meetup Group

Mensa events are open to all Mensans, their spouses, children and guests. Who may or may not attend a private home is at the host's discretion. Hosts: Please mention any special concerns about your location, such as smoking restrictions, limited access for the handicapped, or presence of pets. Guests: If you have any special needs or restrictions, please check with your host before attending an event.

	Sunday, July 7, 10 am: Mensa Outdoor - Bicycling in John Prince Park. Join Broward Mensa Outdoor for a bicycle ride and BYO picnic at John Prince Park, 4759 South Congress Ave. in Lake Worth. Meet just inside the entrance on Congress Ave, then park in a shady area nearby. The park has an easy winding asphalt bike trail, with no major obstacles or hills, is approximately 15 miles around the lake with restrooms, picnic tables, and water fountains along the way. Backpack a snack for a break on the water under a shade tree. 	Tuesday, July 9, 6:00 pm: Magnificent Mensa Scribes. The Magnificent Mensa Scribes meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays each month at Denny's on Congress between North 10th Avenue and Forest Hill. Prudy Taylor Board trenchantly discusses some practical phase of the writing business plus works-in-progress -- your works-in-progress will be read aloud and critiqued. 	Sunday, July 14, 11:00 am: Brunch At Seminole Country Inn in Indiantown. The Inn has a delightful dining room with an extensive and delicious buffet. $13.95 plus beverage which is extra, plus 6% tax, plus 18% service charge. RSVP to Laura at BULAWS7@AOL.com is required. 	Sunday, July 21, 5:00 pm: TIME FOR BARBECUE! Bourbon Street BBQ , 1906 Northeast Ricou Terrace, Jensen Beach, FL. Let's check out the barbecue in this small restaurant in downtown Jensen Beach: Restaurant phone number is 772 225 1220. Directions: From Indian River Drive, Ricou Terrace is 1 block north of Jensen Beach Blvd., just a short street. From US 1, take Jensen Beach Blvd east to the traffic circle at the end. Take 3rd exit on traffic circle so you are going north on Palmetto Dr/Causeway Blvd. Go 482 feet and turn right onto Ricou Terrace.
