Palm Beach Area Mensa

Monday, June 7, 5:30PM. Night Out for Mensa Cougars and Others at Trevini, 150 Worth Avenue, Palm Beach; 833-3883; complimentary valet parking or park on the street after 5:00, unless the Worth Avenue construction project interferes (call me for an update). Happy Hour (5:30-7:00) features half-price drinks and complimentary hors d'oevres; dinner from $25. RSVP to Amy Shaughnessy at 561-964-3283 or at www.meetup.com.

Tuesday, June 8, 5PM. Turtle Walk at Gumbo Limbo Nature Center in Boca Raton. There are only 4 tickets available this year ($10 each) and they may be all gone by the time you read this. But give it a shot--call Elissa Rudolph (561-703-9898) or email elissa12@bellsouth.net to see if any are available. Gumbo Limbo is having hatchling releases beginning in July. I may have tickets for that event--if so, more details will be on the local groups Meetup site www.meetup.com.

Tuesday, June 15, Noon. Downtown Lunch Bunch at Forte, 225 Clematis Street, West Palm Beach; 833-3330. Edgy, chic décor-- think purples and silvery mesh curtains rather than walls. Looks expensive, but lunch specials--Italian cuisine and sandwiches--are actually aimed at modest budgets. RSVP to Amy Shaughnessy at 561-964-3283 or at www.meetup.com
