Hello fellow Palm Mensans
This is my first Locsec column for our Palm Mensa newsletter. I am very happy to have been elected Locsec, thank you all who voted for me.
I hope to improve Palm Mensa by having more events, and a greater variety of events. Also by attracting new members and inviting the participation of members who have not been active recently. I want to congratulate Tom Winchester on being elected our new treasurer. I also congratulate Ed Sorensen on being elected Newsletter Editor, one tough job, thanks for your efforts Ed.
I am planning to have regular excom meetings which will be announced in this newsletter and will report on plans as they develop. I will be calling a excom plus meeting to get to know the new officers and other contributors before this newletter is published. No program or policy decisions will be made, it is a get to know each other meeting. It does not have a date but will be held before the end of April on a date when we are all available.
The new excom is interested in what Palm Mensans at large would like to see for programs. Please email or call me or the program director if you have a suggestion.
We are publishing a survey in this newsletter. It is intended as way to improve Palm Mensa. Please fill it out at your convenience, and mail it to me at briankj@bellsouth.net. You can copy it from the web page and email it to me if that is more convenient.
