Sunday, September 16, 11:30 am. BRUNCH at Lester's Diner (North), at 11:30 am. A Ft. Lauderdale tradition since 1967, Lester's is the home of the 14 oz cup of coffee and some of the biggest homemade desserts you have ever seen. A true diner, Lester's has an extensive menu. Everything from breakfast to dinner, with hamburgers, soups, salads, sandwiches, and great Greek food in between. Located on the north side of the street, just east of 441 at 4701 Coconut Creek Pkwy in Margate. We will meet in the back room, the room with a view. RSVP to Micki Hawn at 954-345-1688. |

Sunday, September 16, 10 am. Snorkel from a boat off Fort Lauderdale. We go out from just south of Las Olas Boulevard from Seabreeze Boulevard (A1A) to about a half mile off the Fort Lauderdale beach. Trip takes about a half-hour to get there. We spend about an hour in the water, and return. Boat leaves around 10 am, a very civilized hour. The two times we've done this trip we wound up in a huge school of fish about 12-15" long, which seemed not to be affected by our presence. Wonderful!! Cost of $37 Members, $42 Non-Members includes snorkel gear if you wish. No discount if you bring your own gear. Contact Jordan London, 954-961-8286. |
