Saturday, January 27, 10 am. Fourth Saturday Fun - Young Mensan Activities. Welcome Young Mensans, Mensa families, young-at-heart Mensans, children of Mensans and friends. The weather is beautiful this time of year. Let's get out and see some Florida wildlife. 10 am @ Flamingo Gardens, Davie. Flamingo Gardens is a not-for-profit wildlife sanctuary, aviary and botanical gardens. On the 60-acre property you'll see rare, exotic and native plants and animals, including otters, alligators and, of course, flamingos. Adults $15, Children $8. With 15 or more we can get a special rate that includes admission, escorted visit, Live Wildlife Encounter Show and Tour by Tram. Meet by the ticket booth, and look for the Mensa Sign. January 27-28. Camp or back-pack at Collier-Seminole State Park near Naples. Lovely camp sites, and the park has the last of the original dredges that created the South Florida canal systems. It's huge, and truly mystifying in some ways. Not too far away, a hiking path that takes about 3-4 hours. OAK will supply Saturday Night dinner. You can come there either Friday night or Saturday night at the same cost. You can borrow a tent, mattress, sleeping bag, cooler. We have sites 29, 69, 70.
