Mensa events are open to all Mensans, their spouses, children and guests. Who may or may not attend a private home is at the host's discretion. Hosts: Please mention any special concerns about your location, such as smoking restrictions, limited access for the handicapped, or presence of pets. Guests: If you have any special needs or restrictions, please check with your host before attending an event.

Notice! Our group has merged its calendar with the one from the Broward group and some events from Miami. The icon in the rightmost column of the event indicates what group(s) are hosting that activity (B for Broward, M for Miami, P for Palm Beach County). See the legends at the bottom of this page for an explanation of other icons that may appear in this column. Most phone numbers for Broward events will be area code 954, for Miami, 305.

Saturday, February 5. Hike Long Pine Ridge in Davie. This will be a walk in the new Wetlands area created by Broward County, and we will be taken into the old Pioneer Village as a treat. Sunday, February 6. Café Cinemathique International presents foreign film "Since Otar Left". This event, held on a monthly basis and lead by retired film professor, lecturer and enthusiast Shelley Isaacs, includes the following: snack, introduction to the film, screening, post-screening discussion, references and anecdotes. Although this is a monthly event, Professor Isaacs is looking forward to welcoming an audience of Broward Mensans on this particular afternoon. RSVP to him at "cinemathique1@aol.com". Tuesday, February 8, 5:30 pm. ELECTRONIC TRIVIA NORTH meets, as always, at Rickey's, 4645 Hollywood Blvd. Exit I-95 at Hollywood Blvd. and go west to 48th Ave. Park in back. We meet at 5:30 p.m. since there are some good games early, but if you can't make it early, come when you can. Pretty good food, very good trivia. Smoking where permitted.

Sunday, February 27. Walk the Morikami Gardens, participate in the Hatsume Fair, in Delray. This is an annual event, and is one of the most pleasant and relaxing areas in southern Florida. Koi fish abound, their bonsai garden is incredible, their museum is delightful. We will have lunch in their cafeteria. Admission is $9.00/person for adults, $8.00/person for seniors, and $6.00/person for kids. We can get a discount for 15 or more adults. Contact Jordan London, 954-961-8286.
