Mensa events are open to all Mensans, their spouses, children and guests. Who may or may not attend a private home is at the host's discretion. Hosts: Please mention any special concerns about your location, such as smoking restrictions, limited access for the handicapped, or presence of pets. Guests: If you have any special needs or restrictions, please check with your host before attending an event.

Notice! Our group has merged its calendar with the one from the Broward group and some events from Miami. The icon in the rightmost column of the event indicates what group(s) are hosting that activity (B for Broward, M for Miami, P for Palm Beach County). See the legends at the bottom of this page for an explanation of other icons that may appear in this column. Most phone numbers for Broward events will be area code 954, for Miami, 305.

Saturday, January 22. MURDER MYSTERY NIGHT on the Seminole Gulf Railway out of Fort Myers. Spend an intriguing and fun-filled evening as a super sleuth. $75 per person includes train ride, entertainment, 5-course meal, taxes, and gratuities. Train boards at 6 pm, returns at approximately 9:30 pm. If you would like to stay overnight in Fort Myers, hotel rooms are available from $35 per person (plus tax, double occupancy). Saturday-Sunday, January 29-30. Car camp at Long Pine Key In Flamingo Park in Everglades National Park. A perfect time of year - we'll bring our bikes, take hikes and explore several areas, perhaps a canoe or kayak trip. Saturday Night Dinner will be provided to you cooked over a wonderful campfire or grill. You'll provide BYO breakfasts and lunch. Cost per person approximately $30.00. Sunday, February 6. Café Cinemathique International presents foreign film "Since Otar Left". This event, held on a monthly basis and lead by retired film professor, lecturer and enthusiast Shelley Isaacs, includes the following: snack, introduction to the film, screening, post-screening discussion, references and anecdotes. Although this is a monthly event, Professor Isaacs is looking forward to welcoming an audience of Broward Mensans on this particular afternoon. RSVP to him at "cinemathique1@aol.com".
