Palm Beach County Mensa Calendar of Events

Mensa events are open to all Mensans, their spouses, children and guests. Who may or may not attend a private home is at the host's discretion. Hosts: Please mention any special concerns about your location, such as smoking restrictions, limited access for the handicapped, or presence of pets. Guests: If you have any special needs or restrictions, please check with your host before attending an event.

Notice! Our group has merged its calendar with the one from the Broward group and some events from Miami. The icon in the rightmost column of the event indicates what group(s) are hosting that activity (B for Broward, M for Miami, P for Palm Beach County). See the legends at the bottom of this page for an explanation of other icons that may appear in this column. Most phone numbers for Broward events will be area code 954, for Miami, 305.

	Tuesday, March 9. ELECTRONIC TRIVIA NORTH meets, as always, at Rickey's, 4645 Hollywood Blvd. Exit I-95 at Hollywood Blvd. and go west to 48th Ave. Park in back. We meet at 5:30 p.m. since there are some good games early, but if you can't make it early, come when you can. Pretty good food, very good trivia. Smoking where permitted.
	Wednesday, March 10. Lunch At Treasure Coast Mall, 11:30. Regular event, second Wednesdays, Jensen Beach, Martin County. Meet in the food court by Pita World (look for two upturned glasses on the table). Bring a friend or two. Questions, call Janice Johnson (772) 463-0495, janice@aposner.net.

	Sunday, March 14. OUTDOOR SIG - Bicycle Key Biscayne. Go down to Bill Boggs State Park and Lighthouse and the end of the Key. Return via the harbor road. BYO picnic lunch. About 10 miles total bicycle trip length. Contact Jordan London, 954-961-8286.

	Saturday-Sunday, March 20-21. OUTDOOR SIG - Canoe or kayak upstream at Fish Eating Creek Saturday (outside of Palmdale on U.S. 27), camp out overnight, come back Sunday to where we parked. With your own boat (canoe or kayak) nominal cost of $15.00 for member, $20.00 non-member. Kids welcome at half-price up to 13 years old (if they aren't paddling). Add $30.00 per person (due to outfitter's charge) if you have to rent a canoe, $40.00 if you have to rent a single kayak, and $40.00 per person if you rent a two-person kayak. 	Sunday, March 21: SUNDAY BRUNCH. Tarpon Bend Food and Tackle. 11:30 am. We'll do another old favorite. Here we can eat daily seafood specials as well as lots of other choices, non-seafood too. We will eat from the menu, but let's stick to the food part!
