Palm Beach County Mensa Calendar of Events

Mensa events are open to all Mensans, their spouses, children and guests. Who may or may not attend a private home is at the host's discretion. Hosts: Please mention any special concerns about your location, such as smoking restrictions, limited access for the handicapped, or presence of pets. Guests: If you have any special needs or restrictions, please check with your host before attending an event.

Notice! Our group has merged its calendar with the one from the Broward group and some events from Miami. The icon in the rightmost column of the event indicates what group(s) are hosting that activity (B for Broward, M for Miami, P for Palm Beach County). See the legends at the bottom of this page for an explanation of other icons that may appear in this column. Most phone numbers for Broward events will be area code 954, for Miami, 305.

	Friday, July 4. 4th OF JULY EVENING OUT - We meet at Sheridan Street, bicycle around and over to Hollywood Beach, have dinner at a local restaurant, lock up our bikes, go over to the beach to watch the fireworks, and then bicycle back to our cars. RSVP to Jordan London, 954-961-8286.

We meet at 5:30 p.m. since there are some good games early, but if you can't make it early, come when you can. Pretty good food, very good trivia. Smoking where permitted.

	Friday, July 15. FIRST FRIDAY on the second Friday because you'll be celebrating the 4th on the first Friday. 	Saturday, July 26. KAYAK TO INDIAN KEY (approximately mile marker 70). About 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. A kayak trip around the bay and then to Indian Key. Easy snorkel, explore, hike. A key with a fascinating history - the original capital of Dade County. Then have a picnic lunch, supplied as part of the trip. A delightful day on, in, and around the water. And YOU CAN WALK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN. Cost is $50.00, which includes sit-on-top kayak, life vest, kayak seat/back-rest, great picnic lunch. Lots of history, archeology and snorkeling. 	August 9-13. The SCUBA SIG of American Mensa invites Mensa members worldwide to join us for 3 or 4 (or even 7!) days of CUBA diving the beautiful Caribbean island of Cozumel. Snorkelers and beach- sitters welcome, too! Arrive early for extra diving. 	August 14-18. Wet Wild Waterski Weekend. Join athletic Mensans of the Club Med SIG for a lo-o-ong weekend (or a whole week) of waterskiing, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, snorkeling, French food, and more SCUBA diving (Los Cenotes!).
