Prudy Taylor Board, author of several fiction & nonfiction books, leads a discussion on what to do after your great work is finished. So you've written the world's greatest novel. It's sitting there on your desk. All done and lookin' so fine. Now what? How do you figure out where to send it? How do you physically send it? Can you get an agent? If you can, should you? Saturday, March 8th. MENSA OUTDOOR SIG - A Walk along the Beach in Hollywood. Walk the Broadwalk at a leisurely pace and have breakfast afterward at one of the beachfront cafes. Sunday, March 23rd. DADE & BROWARD MENSA PICNIC 11:00 am: Come one, come all --- The weather is perfect for a joint Dade & Broward Mensa Picnic to welcome Spring, at Topeekeegee Yugnee ("T-Y") Park, in Hollywood, at Sheridan St. & North Park Road (just west of I-95). Bring bread to feed the 30+ white ibises & assorted ducks, seeds to feed the squirrels. Bring the kids to play at the playground or swim at Castaway Is., the water park. Walk or bike the 2-mile course, play volleyball, tennis, or basketball, or bring a board game to play. Bring your own lunchmeat to barbecue (charcoal & lighter fluid will be provided), drinks, and one extra dish for all to share.
