Palm Beach County Mensa Calendar of Events
February, 2003

Mensa events are open to all Mensans, their spouses, children and guests. Who may or may not attend a private home is at the host's discretion. Hosts: Please mention any special concerns about your location, such as smoking restrictions, limited access for the handicapped, or presence of pets. Guests: If you have any special needs or restrictions, please check with your host before attending an event.

Notice! Our group has merged its calendar with the one from the Broward group and some events from Miami. The icon in the rightmost column of the event indicates what group(s) are hosting that activity (B for Broward, M for Miami, P for Palm Beach County). See the legends at the bottom of this page for an explanation of other icons that may appear in this column. Most phone numbers for Broward events will be area code 954, for Miami, 305.

	Saturday, February 15th. COMBINED OAK AND MENSA OUTDOOR SIG - Full Moon Paddle (canoe) with Dinner on the Water. Paddle in a canoe under the full moon, and then be served a gourmet dinner in your canoe with a lap try to hold everything. Salad, dressings, main dishes, side dishes, breads, desserts, liquids. 	Sunday, February 16th. MENSA OUTDOOR SIG - A Walk Along The Beach in Hollywood. Walk the Broadwalk at a leisurely pace and have breakfast afterward at one of the beachfront cafes. Upcoming Events - March, 2003

	Sunday, March 2nd. CREATIVE WORKSHOP, 2-5 pm, Morningstar Clubhouse, Delray Beach. Prudy Taylor Board, author of The Vow, Blood Legacy, and many other works of fiction and nonfiction will discuss how to get your writing noticed and how to find your niche. She describes the workshop thus: "Okay, so you've written the world's greatest novel. It's sitting there on your desk. All done and lookin' so fine. Now what? How do you figure out where to send it? How do you physically send it? Can you get an agent? If you can, should you? Attend The business of being creative workshop and ask your questions."
